I was surprised to see this stop sign, written in English on this Russia video.
Its about the ABM which I gather is a “shield” type anti-missle program in Russia.
Fun to see how fast that missle goes up and also interesting that the silo is kept empty until they need it and fill it.. (but that’s a different blog).
I don’t know why they have a US stop sign there. I have watched hours of Russian crash videos since I am a connoisseur of dashcam vids. So I know that Moscow doesn’t have US Stop signs, or perhaps they do? I have to go back and watch some more.
link. I have actually never seen that sign, but I will look closer in the future.
Aside: Here is a funny sign from the US:
When people speak of “why the world doesn’t just use one sign, or drive on the right, or speak spanish”, I think of Eperanto, the language which was proposed in the 1950’s. One new to everyone, so everyone was on a level playing field. It didn’t take off. Its ok to have differences, even in the Hubble telescope where mistakes were made. Its ok.
Wikispeedia has been giving out speed limits way before Google bought WAZE. We are like Linux, a free version of the best parts of WAZE. Plus we promote driving calmness. Look at the Android Mirror “Speederaser” on this site or Ebay. It will change your commute, guaranteed.
Well, I have to go to work now. You see, today I am famous, well a tiny bit, for 10 seconds, but I will take it. The life of an Engineer…
